The future of OutDoor is still in motion – but far from uncertain.

OutDoor – The Path Forward

The strategic partnership between ISPO and the European Outdoor Group (EOG) will remain through 2028. We are waiting for key decisions from the EOG to shape the next steps together, aiming to create a relevant, future-ready platform for the outdoor industry.

Momentum from ISPO has led to key learnings: clear structures, real participation, and a focus on quality over quantity. These insights will guide future summer concepts. OutDoor is not cancelled, it’s evolving, and we’re motivated to co-create a dynamic, relevant event with the EOG.

As the industry needs change, we’ve seen a shift in expectations. It’s no longer just about space; it’s about strategic alignment. From curated matchmaking to new initiatives like the Retail Club and House of Content, we’re shaping the future with adaptable formats that can also benefit OutDoor.

We understand the disappointment from the outdoor community in 2024. Many brands miss the event, reinforcing our belief in the importance of such gatherings. We’re committed to returning OutDoor in a new, exciting form, guided by community feedback. Our strong collaboration with the EOG continues, and while Messe München is our preferred venue, we value all feedback to shape the future of OutDoor.

Even without OutDoor 2025, the community will stay connected at ISPO 2025. This year, we’ve incorporated some OutDoor elements, such as the Test Running Track, to keep the spirit alive. ISPO 2025 offers tailored opportunities for outdoor brands:
  • A1 (Outdoor Lifestyle): Designed for outdoor brands with an urban or fashion focus – enhanced with additional offerings.
  • A2 (Outdoor Functional): Ideal for functionality-focused brands – located near Highsnobiety and the House of Content.
  • Sustainability Solutions & ISPO Award: A platform for sustainability-driven brands – showcase your products or submit them for the ISPO Award.
  • Retail Club & Lounge: Perfect for brands looking to connect with retailers – dedicated spaces for meaningful interaction.
  • Conference Program: All brands are welcome to join our extensive conference program and contribute to a rich exchange of ideas and insights.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to co-create the future of OutDoor.
